65% of Americans under the age of 65 have hearing loss. One in six baby boomers have hearing impairment according to the Better Hearing Institute. The majority of hearing losses are treatable with amplification. Hearing loss generally occurs gradually and most people do not know whether or not if they have a hearing loss. Evaluating one’s hearing and establishing a baseline is the first step to monitoring communication needs. It’s also when individuals often become serious about hearing loss prevention and conservation.
